My cat flees when I try to groom her, what can I do about this?

Some cats don’t enjoy being brushed or groomed at all, and they will need some extra restraint for their much-needed care.

Of course, you should only resort to these techniques when a grooming session or nail clipping is necessary for your health or the health of your cat.

The safest way to restrain your kitty is the ‘purrito’ technique, which is especially useful for clipping the nails or washing/grooming the rear or head. You can make a ‘purrito’ by wrapping a towel around your cat, making sure the legs are trapped inside and ensuring the towel is whapped tight enough to stop your kitty from wriggling around too much.
